Today I remained composed as I left the boys with our friend and headed off to what was my first day of a few to complete my observation hours. I teared up as I walked to the car but it was helpful that Connor was very involved in playing and didn't even react when I kissed him 'Bye'. There was no running after me crying or any other drama I was afraid about. Since the drive from Haley's is only about 2 minutes I had no time to really cry and let it sink in that I just left my two wonderful boys FOR THE WHOLE DAY! I really enjoyed just observing a classroom setting. I *almost* miss being in a classroom everyday. Haley (our friend watching the boys) text me two pictures during the day. One of Connor and Myles (her son) dancing to Elmo music and one of Mr. Isaac sleeping away. That was comforting.
I left the kids at about 8:40 and got back just before 3. I was informed that Connor had a great day, NO CRYING (he doesn't do that for me at home!) and took a good nap. He noticed I was there but really didn't care. He continue playing with his friend! It was really comforting knowing that these days are not going to be excruciated. This is important for me and it feels wonderful knowing that the boys are in good hands and HAPPY. She also said Isaac had a good day and wasn't very fussy. I am so glad it went well and so happy Haley offered to watch the kids! We are going to the G's for Easter and possibly going to a Church here in town for a community egg hunt. Should be some good pictures pending!
On a side note, it's really fun getting all the Fox sports channels and watching the Cards everyday!!!
